Cheshire West & Chester Highways have issued a closure notice for carriageway repairs on 7th and 8th May, per the notice below. Please click on the image to navigate to page 2 to see the location and diversion route.
Cheshire West and Chester Council have advised that the bottom of Senna Lane, between Marbury Road and Cogshall Lane, will be closed during the day on Tuesday 2nd April. Please see the notice below.
Budworth Lane will be closed between Comberbach and Cock Lane on Friday 8th March while Cheshire West investigate a blocked drain. The notice below refers.
CWVA, working with Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network (CWVAN), has launched round two of its Creative Arts Grants programme.
This programme, which has been made available through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), targets creative projects or activities aimed at supporting the following groups in Cheshire West.
*Depending on the number of applications, preference will be given to projects involving these cohorts or in these areas.

Groups who were awarded funding in the previous round are welcome to re-apply, however, preference will be given to new applicants.
There are two types of grants available.
Eligible project costs include the following.
Funding must be spent by end of March 2025.
Fund opens 1 March and closes 12 noon on Thursday 28 March.
Cheshire West and Chester Council have issued the road closure notice below to advise resurfacing work will take place between 11th and 15th March on Marbury Road in Comberbach.
In addition, there will be a closure on 16th March for surface lining:
Cheshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, John Dyer, has issued this note introducing a short survey on community priorities prior to setting the Precept for 2024/25:
Ahead of setting the police budget for 2024/25, I have launched a short survey to gather residents’ views on issues in their community and the level at which the police precept should be set.
The survey can be taken until midday on Tuesday 23 January at www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/policebudget202425/
People will rightly ask what difference does taking this survey and the amount we pay towards policing make. The answer: Lots. And this is detailed in the attached image.
Calls are being answered faster, incidents are being responded to quicker, there have been more arrests, more criminals charged and more ‘action taken’. Cheshire’s streets have more officers and fewer criminals on them. These are the basics of policing that people expect and in 2023 Cheshire Constabulary improved across all of them with the public’s support – So please do share this survey with your contacts and networks so that as many people as possible from all communities in Cheshire can have their say.

Please be aware the MUGA Court Multi Use Games Court at the Recreation Area at the Memorial Hall will be closed for use from Thursday 7th September until Monday 11th September, as Contractors will be on site Thursday and Friday to respray the court surface, and the new surface will require further time to set.
The area outside the MUGA court will remain open for swings etc, but no ball games can be played on the MUGA Court until at least Monday 11th.
